I.C. Care limits our practice to patients over the age 18. Our practice philosophy is to view each of his patients with a holistic approach that focuses on optimizing each patient’s overall health. Office visits at I.C. Care will include a discussion of life style choices and how each individual patient’s life style choices can impact overall physical health and well-being of the patient. Life style choice includes diet, behavior and well resulting nutritional state. I. C. Care’s treatment plans often will include recommendations for changes in life style choices and nutrients to attempt to improve the patient’s overall health and well-being.

 

Our patients are encouraged to participate in this holistic approach overall health and well-being.

 

If any patient is uncomfortable with this holistic approach to overall patient health, I. C. Care will accommodate any desires of the patient to limit care and treatment to the particular health problem that the patient presents for at the time of the is it or arrange for the individual patient to be seen by another Internist who may not share the holistic view in the practice of medicine.

The Beginning

Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. (August 3, 1920 – May 2, 2003) entered practice in Prince George County with the adage “my penicillin is the same as any other penicillin, but the Care is what separates us.

 

Dr. Wise was an American physician and World War II Tuskegee Airman Fighter Pilot with the 99th Pursuit Squadron, 332nd Division.

 

Wise’s plane was shot down over Romania and he became a  Prisoner of War.   He received the Purple Heart; the Air Medal  for Combat Missions flown in World War II; the Certificate of Valor for Courage in combat, and the Tuskegee Airmen Pioneer Award for Distinguished Service and Historic Achievement.

 

Wise was the first African-American physician in Prince George County, Maryland to be admitted to practice at Prince George’s Hospital.   Along with his wife, Roberta Wise, Dr. Wise founded the Youth Motivational Program based in Maryland with the purpose of providing training and scholarships to more than 1,000 young people in the region.

 

On October 27, 2005, the Board of Education for Prince George’s County Schools unanimously approved the motion to name a high school in Upper Marlboro, Maryland after Dr. Wise.

Dr. George H. Bone

Dr. Bone begins private practice in West Palm Beach Florida, specializing in internal medicine.

One Year Later

Dr. Bone’s practice begins to incorporate massage and yoga in the practice of medicine – onsite massage therapist and yogi.

New Insights

Dr. Bone leaves the practice for the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland (NIH) to study alcohol and the cardiovascular system, and alcohol withdrawal in humans and animals.

Two years later

Dr. Bone joins Dr. Wise to form Integral Health Care.

Integral Health Care Expands

Diagnostic Imaging and Physical Therapy services are added to the list of services provided by Integral Health Care.

New Beginnings

Integral Care is birthed.
